For those who had problems with shimmering textures and whatnot, go to the Halo 2 game profile, change AA to App controlled, and Force Vsync on. This stops the horrible tearing, and also fixed the shimmering texture problem. Since i fixed those problems, the only things left to gripe about is low rez textures, Slow mouse movement and lack of widescreen support. Apart from that, I'm enjoying it all over again!

You can't. But speaking in terms of GFW Live in general, free vs PC, pay for cross-platform.

Unfortunately, no. I have a 19" widescreen, supports 1440x900. Best i can get is either 1280x960 (4:3) or 1280x1024 (LCD 4:3).

It actually does support widescreen, but it's very strange. At first all I could see were 4:3 resolutions, but then somehow I must have changed a setting or something and it gave me a couple widescreen options including 720p. I can't for the life of me figure out what it was that I did. Still no 1440x900 though.

The graphics in those screens look almost like the Xbox version. Doesnt look as great as advertised... Unless those werent taken at maxed settings?

reading the gamespot review it seems fairly moronic to demolish any sort of MP balance my auto enabling Autoaim on handcontroller users.. when its detected.
They mentioned how you sort autokill people up close with the shotgun as its snapping the aim to the player etc..

Well, its a pretty ancient game by now anyway, I wouldnt buy it.
