Default 100.14.06 exiting X console crash

I had any problem with each of all drivers.
When i use 1.0-8776-r1 before so i dont had GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap. That was the only driver which i could exiting from x to the console and back again. When i use all other driver also 100.14.06 which was released later i exiting from X and the console is flickering and blurred. i change back to X but i dont see clear the console.
i think beryl work better with the new driver but console change problem is always present.

i use the vesa-tng framebuffer. maybe thats the problem but no problem with the old nvidia driver. i dont know.

any other have the same problem or a solution?

Does it work if you add "vga=normal" to your kernel boot parameters?

Hello Aaron,

i add vga=normal to the kernel boot parameter. i dont see a solution its always blurred when i change to a console.
i run the vesa-tng with 1600x1200. i think that should be not a problem.
i dont know whats wrong.

Does this reproduce if you're not using a kernel with vesa-tng support?

hello netlama,

i removed the vesa-tng driver into the kernel and it works. i see the problem is the vesa-tng driver. what can i do to get both things worked?

I regret that its not possible to use console framebuffer graphics simultaneously with the nvidia X driver. This is not a support configuration.

it sounds not good. now i used the vesa framebuffer wit vga=791 and 1024x768 and i can exiting from X without blurring and flickering but i when i switch back i get a black screen. anyhow i come to console.

there is absolutely no workaround? it sounds like make or break.

its a little bit more comfortable to use framebuffer.

Any time that you have two different device drivers attempting to control the same hardware, the results will be undesirable.

okay i see it will not work perfectly. i hope nvidia will support these in any of the next driver versions. i bought a dell inspiron 9400 with a nvidia card. thats a reason to buy for a next notebook with a other graphic card like ati.

i think nvidia should support these things.
