The general idea is you go into your BIOS lower the ram multiplier then raise the FSB to increase the speed of your CPU while leaving its multiplier at the default, below is a link explaining some of the settings you could search for more/different guides if you have problems post back I'm sure someone here will be able to help. I usually like to keep everything stock voltages/timings doing this my e6300 runs at 2.8ghz with the FSB at 400 ram at 2x (DDR800) its rated speed on a Gigabyte P965-S3. You should get a program like Orthos to stress test the CPU when overclocked watching the temperatures the chips get too anything under 60C at 100% load should be safe but the low/mid 50s is good to see and around/under the low 40s when idle is nice to have.
