Currently I am just using the tower cooling(Antec 900 Gaming Case) with Standard heatsink.
I have tried using the AI booster that comes with my Striker Extreme Mobo and it tells me to reboot everytime. My old board Asus Crosshair would just increase the clock speed and not ask for a restart. |

Cooler Master Hyper TX running at about 2000RPM.
4 x 120mm fans on side panel running around 1200RPM or less, I think. This OC, however, is NOT mine. I didn't OC it a bit. All done by Overdrive PC, so they might've done some tricks or something to it. ~Ibrahim~

Hi guys I meant what software are you guys using to overclcok. Using Ntune I can't get my system overclock past 2808. Even if I try 2887 it BSOD. Also under the Adjust mother board settings I can only adjust SYSTEM CLOCKS. Nothing under SYSTEM VOLTAGES can be used. MOBO is a Striker Extreme (680i SLI) |

Nah, there has to be a problem there. Voltages have to be able to adjusted on the most premium 680i boards. You must be missing something. Any fellow Striker Extreme users have some help for this guy? Check your manual, it should have something there. What cooling are you using? Don't go above 1.5V on air. 1.5V should have some really nice cooling, too. This is the CPU's voltage, of course. I'm lucky enough to be running 3.5GHz @ 1.4 I wouldn't use AI Booster, either, because it is very coarse and you can get higher OCs with your own two hands. ~Ibrahim~

I don't use any software, just manually do it in BIOS.

Bios to overclock, core temp to monitor temps. Orthos and memtest86 to test the overclock.

Memtest to check memory, orthos to see if the cpu isn't generating errors instead of correct numbers, BIOS to overclock, Thermaltake Armor case, cpu is liquid cooled, but right now ambient temps are quite high here because my aircondition device is malfuntioning, aka leaking like a crazy mofo when I turn it on
