64-bit Beta driver install failed on eVGA 8600
After getting things up and running for a 32-bit kernel I really wanted to get things going in 64-bit mode.
Kubuntu 7.04 (64-bit)
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz
eVGA 8600 GT
Following the same process that I did for the 32-bit version (unless I messed it up) but thinks ended up in a black screen this time.
I don't know a lot about troubleshooting X yet but maybe someone can tell me what went wrong.

According to your bug report, you've installed 1.0-9755, which has no support for your GeForce 8600. You need to install 100.14.06.
