I've played this game 3 times now and like it more now than I first did. It's because I have the moves down better now (especially those backwards grapple jumps). I will still say the frustration factor could have been lowered with having a save anywhere function. This game really needs it for those who play that are not the diehard "playing hard mode" game players (I'm not). The save anywhere would have served both (since you wouldn't have to use it if you didn't want to). Some of the save points were just spaced too far apart where a lot of unnecessary and frustrating movement had to be done to get back to the part one was having difficulty with. After having to do that numerous times, it quits being fun. That's about my only complaint about this game (I would have liked the movement tracked on the maze map and the 3 elephants shown on it). I don't judge a game by its frustration level, I judge it by its fun factor. Too much of the first can kill the second. Game runs smooth as a whip with no game crashes. This one and Legend are both keepers for me as I will continue to play them both.

The first time I played it, I almost gave up (because of that frustration/fun factor ratio tipping the wrong way. I stuck with it and now can play the game getting all Relics, Artifacts and Supplies. Forget the Time Trials though, I don't have the energy for it and don't want to end up throwing my computer in front of a moving truck!

It took me over 10 hours as well but I never really got frustrated. Some puzzled did have me thinking alot more then others though. All in all it was a GREAT game! In a world of High Def, HDR, mega texture goodness it's nice to see a title like this excel at what really matters... gameplay!

Hey guys, loving this game so far. I never got to play any of the original tomb raider games because at the time I had a N64. But yeah, the game runs amazing at 1680x1050 4x/8x with just a single 7800gtx. I also loved how the game immediately detected my 360 controller and assigned the buttons to their correct spots without me having to do anything.

Anyways, I'm currently on the Peru level with the waterfall and I've found two of the cogs to make the gadgets start working but I'm missing the 3rd. I've made my way all the way to the top of the waterfalls and moved the lever which opens some underwater gate but I have no clue where the hell it is! any help would be appreciated!

Wow, the level designers for this game are geniuses. I've been kinda sick of all the games of late but I'm having a blast!

Agreed 100% on the frustration factor. I've reduced myself to downloading trainers to avoid getting extremely angry...lol.

All-in-all a very good game.

Yes, absolutely GREAT game. But what's funny is that the level design is nearly identical to the original one on the Playstation years and years ago.

Those programmers were true geniuses and ahead of the times. The original Tomb Raider is simply one of the best games to ever come out. Period. A legend of sorts.
