Hi,
I have a 6800 GS card that just does not work properly. I have noticed it seems to run 2D stuff ok (ie the desktop) but running any 3D program causes seg faults, system hangs, etc. My gut feeling is that it is a hardware problem. Has anyone heard of a similar problem happening before and it being software based? Or have they heard of a similiar problem and it being hardware based? Yes, I am running the latest driver, yes, I am running a new kernel, yes, I have posted nvidia-bug-report.log in a previous post. I am not trying to get the card running per se at this point, just trying to rule software problems in or out. ![]() |
