Hy,
got my new 24" DELL TFT, with a nice 1920x1200 resolution. My Question is now, how can i get the Textmode (without X running) to this resolution ? I now have a line: vga=0x31a in lilo.conf. But i can not find any modes for higher resolutions. 1600x1200 is not working @ Textmode... What can i do ? |

"hwinfo --framebuffer" (must be run with root privileges; in ubuntu it's "sudo hwinfo --framebuffer" + also where is a chance that hwinfo is not installed yet on your distro) will list all available tty modes for you
