Problem with linux installation (Black screen)
I have: RoverBook pro 500, Turion 64x2, GeForce GO 6100, SATA Toshiba
I tried to install: Mandriva 2007 (x64, x32) , SuSe 10.2 (x32)
But I have the same problem:
When I choose installation variant, I see "Loading kernel" message, and that is all, And only black screen after this!!
On one forum I saw a post which said that it could be because linux did not know video drivers.
Where can I get "GeForce GO 6100" driver, and How I should install it before linux installation process?

Re: Problem with linux installation (Black screen)
The NVIDIA Linux graphics driver can not be installed ahead of the initial Linux installation. You will probably need to discuss this problem on a Mandriva forum (i.e. to determine when it hangs, exactly). Have you tried a text mode installation?
