I'm running F7_64 also with all updates current. No problems with Beryl
Probably not a driver problem. I assume you're working this issue in the Fedora Forum as well? If not, here's a good place to start:
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=99285
MIght be some other good info in FireWing's blog too.

I installed driver (first install) last week paying close attention to FW's blog. Can't recall what driver came down (9742 maybe?: was not 9755. Then installed Beryl, again noting FW blog on that too. Updates, including new driver, have been very smooth.
The "dri" thing does seem to be an issue. I'm in Mint right now. I'll go back into F7 shortly and take a look.

BTW: Athlon 64, Gigabyte/NForce4 mobo & 7900GS card here.

In F7 now. Attached my xorg.conf for you to compare. Note especially the "files" section.
Also: What's your setup in Apps > Sys Tools > Livna Display Config?

Again I'd suggest you work with Firewing's blog. Stuff like this is worth considering (from blog):
"Q: Help! I followed the instructions and DRI still isn't working!
A: If you're using the drivers from the nVidia website or if you've previously installed them, please see this post on the RedHat mailing lsts as to why it could be a problem. In short, those drivers tend to overwrite other system files which can cause problems, whereas the packaged drivers from Livna or other third party repositories do not. If you think this is your problem, pease reinstall all Mesa GL and Xorg server packages to restore the replaced system files."

The "overwrite other system files" part seems like it might have some relevance to your situation.
Good luck buddy.
