true,

i been trying to explain to codemasters that this sound bug (where sound disapears) is not in the demo, but its in the retail version only.

Its a bit funny that demo is better coded then full game.

Any word on a fix for the lame over sensitive controller issue this game has for any perpherial that is non-MS?

I refuse to buy a 360 gamepad just to play this game when my Rumblepad2 should work perfect fine but doesn't.

nah sorry. 1.2 will contain only one fix according to a post by codemasters support on their forum. It will be related to save game corruption.

Bah, that sucks. The lame controller issue and the sound biiip bug really makes this game is a bug turd along the lines of the Dark Messiah fiasco.

And they wonder why PC gamers get so upset and frustrated and eventually .

I saw this post saying he fixed his controller lag issue with Coolbits or NvTray.

http://community.codemasters.com/for...d.php?t=197105

Something about changing frames rendering ahead?

Anyone try this on their 8800??

I was browsing around looking for updates and new software. I stopped in at NatrualPoint.com and noticed they had DiRT listed as an enhanced game. Sure enough, I did a profile update and DiRT has 6DOF head tracking support. I love this game even more now.

been tracking this thread and decided to give dirt a try for myself and add my 2 cents. so far im impressed with the visuals (@1920x1200 + ultra setting) but not so impressed with framerate (only seein ~30fps [any setting]). as far as the controls i havent really experienced an issue with my cordless rumblepad 2 like others but then i dont have a xb360 controller to make comparison.
overall this game is very good racing game, but having this current pc setup makes me yearn for more. (like a dx10 racing sim)

I'm running it at 1920x1200 with 2xAA, all ultra settings, and I also get around 30-35 fps, but they are consistent, it never drops below 30 (maybe 28-29 when you race with multiple cars), and it's more than enough for this game. This game is a pleasure to play with all the eye-candy on. It's not a FPS, it's a racing game, and 30 fps is more than enough for me, controls are responsive and it plays great with the 360 controller. Thumbs up for this game, I'm having a lot of fun with it
