As good as DIRT looks, as those 2 pics show, we sure have a long way to go in gfx don't we.

just higher res on the textures would do mutch.

True, and lower res, blurry textures is my number 1 biggest complaint about today's game.

Q, can anyone tell me how many different CORR tracks there are in the full version? CORR is the funnest part of this game IMO.

sure
Vista isnt made for hyper fast CPUs it cant scale with diffrent CPU speeds and use all the power from fast C2Ds.
maybe it can but it doesnt for some reason.

XP uses all the CPU power that you have therefore you will get higher FPS if you have a fast CPU that is.

just check the CPU usage under Vista and compare it to XP.
Vista uses about 50% of the CPU speed while XP uses 80-90%

some of you maybe have noticed that you can overclock your C2D higher in Vista.
offcourse its possible,you dont have 100% CPU usage under Vista
