Default libNVPerfSDK & PerformanceMonitorMode

Ever since I upgraded to SuSE 10.2 (kernel, I haven't been able to get the NVPerfSDK instrumented driver (1.0-9640-NVPerfKit) to run:


It just hangs the box. Other NVidia drivers work though, albeit no PerformanceMonitorMode xorg.conf option needed to expose the GPU timers via libNVPerfSDK.so.

What's the secret? This was "really" useful, and is even more so now that Graphic Remedy is in beta with gDebugger for Linux:
