Anyone have any idea exactly WHICH TV-Encoders support overscanning with these drivers?

The driver does not support my GeForce Ti4600's Philips 7108.

Hi Andy,

I have Red Hat 8.0 2.4-18-27.8.0 .....and I can assure you your installer DID NOT WORK for me AT ALL. Thankfully I was able to download the Tar.gz files............If Nvidia takes this away they are making a HUGE MISTAKE!!!!

P.S. The only method that's ever worked for me in Red Hat are the Tar GZ's!!! Please reconsider.....

P.P.S. The installer program wouldn't even run, and yes I was logged as root and the execute box was checked!!!

You can extract the files from the nVidia with a command line switch. Then, it's basically like the old tarball, but both kernel and glx component are together.

Either way the nVidia installer worked fine for me. (Gentoo Linux)

What is the exact command to type in? Do you need to get the file to run to extract? It wouldn't even run for me......

The installer was nice and quick, but my glxgears framerate dropped like 300 fps.

sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4349.run --extract-only

It will make a folder called NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4349.

Default Mouse not working in Quake3 based games

The new Drivers work well for me except for one thing.

The mouse does not work in Quake3 or UrbanTerror( A Q3 mod ).

Default XMMS and OO.o killed by new driver

I installed both the driver on RedHat Phoebe-3. Everything went well but

1. Now XMMS doesn't start. It just cores
2. OpenOffice.org doesn't start either. It cores as well.

I wonder how many other apps are broken by this driver. I've tested this on two machines running Phoebe-3 and the same effect is observed -- and I made sure to check that these apps were working before the driver was installed.

3777: it sounds like you're trying to run this in X...

Kill X, change to a virtual terminal, and type 'sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4349.run'.

minkwe: beta versions of RH9 may not work correctly due to glibc bugs. Please try with the final version of RH9, or update to the latest glibc.

cservin: I believe that's a q3a bug - please grab the latest point release.
