Why exactly is the PS3 version better though? All I've heard is that the PS3 version has framerate issues, but have it for the 360 and I'm having framerate issues...

Why is it hard for some people to understand that they may just be both the same? Do we really have to nitpick, go over each version with a magnifying glass then tell people they've wasted their hard earned cash on a game that's only slightly different?

Thats the funny thing, I never said the version was better... all I said was that I thought the PS3 version had better color and lighting, thats it. Yeah I made a comment that I haven't come across a frame rate issue but im not even half way through the game yet.

I've been having framerate issues pretty much from the beginning. I have to have breaks from it every 20 minutes or so because it gives me a headache.

We must be playing at different game because I'm not having any framerate issues at all with The Darkness.

Same here, for the most part. A few parts gave some noticeable slowdown however (like near those water pumps you have to use to lower the water level).

My intentions were to have a 360 and PS3 side by side, but what's the point if all the cross platform games are being developed for 360, ported to the PS3and not asgood in some way.

Only reason i'd have to get a PS3 now would be for the exclusives, due to the reasons mentioned above, which means I may aswell wait ages.

Strange, I haven't had any vsync problems with The Darkness. When you see a lot of visual tearing try turning your display off then on again and see if that helps.

And yet another reason im still in the CRT camp, a lack of vsync has far less screen tearing effects vs. an LCD etc. due to the way the screen is refreshed by each technology. (anyone with a crt & lcd side by side can test this theory and see for themselves.) I havent noticed any tearing in Darkness and im almost done with the game.

I finally grabbed this today and agree with all the positive comments... AMAZING game. It's a real shame it wasn't put on PC right away, if at all, because it's pretty sweet. One of the most cinematic games ever too...

I've watched a friend play it on their 360, and I've seen it running on a devkit. They all had quite a bit of framerate issues (which resulted in all of us saying "EUUURGH!"). I really don't know how you fail to notice it.
