Hi there,
I recently tried upgrading to 100.14.11 from NVIDIA-FreeBSD-x86-1.0-9755, however now when X starts it crashes just after the nvidia splash screen. The following link has the nvidia bug report log, the Xorg coredump, and a backtrace of the crash with gdb. http://www.neovanglist.net/~Neovangl...1-crash.tar.gz Note: I've confirmed this crash with the following driver versions: NVIDIA-FreeBSD-x86-100.14.11 NVIDIA-FreeBSD-x86-100.14.09 NVIDIA-FreeBSD-x86-100.14.06 NVIDIA-FreeBSD-x86-100.14.03 NVIDIA-FreeBSD-x86-1.0-9639 also crashes, however in a different way. You can find an error report here: http://www.neovanglist.net/~Neovangl...9-crash.tar.gz Confirmed working driver versions: NVIDIA-FreeBSD-x86-1.0-9755 If you need any other information please let me know. Thanks! |

Please excuse the noise... it turned out to be related to some stale libGLCore and libGL libraries hiding in paths they had no business being in.
Removed them and now all is well. Thanks! |

Thanks for the update. Out of curiosity, where were the conflicting files located? It sounds like the .tar.gz packages' Makefiles need to be updated to look for conflicting files in paths they're currently unaware of (I assume this is modular Xorg specific).

This is no noise at all! I had the same issue and couldn't figure it out until I read this. Thanks!
