Probably Doom 3 engine, but i'd be happy with the Next ID engine. Would be even sweeter if they used Cryengine 2

Thinking about it now, the gore is probably toned down. If a game like Manhunt gets banned in every country, I can't imagine a gory SOF making it in this day and age.

I think the gore will still be there. Manhunt was banned mostly due the the subject matter along with the violence. SOF is no more violent than FEAR really.

Then again they might go for more of a Rainbox 6: Vegas feel this time round.

I dunno, I definetely feel that SOF was much more gory than fear... maybe not more gory, but certainly more realistic in terms of it.

Serious? I feel FEAR is far more gory. I mean you had the usual dismemberment, but the was also entire rooms full of blood, exploded bodies. I agree though. SOF does go about it all in a more realistic fashion, especially with the death animations and the rolling on the floor screaming.

I'd love to see the Ghoul system running on the D3 engine though.

SOF's not that realistic. Too much dismemberment.

We're just saying it's more realistic than FEAR. SOF is still Hollywood violence all the way.
