Ubuntu FF Striker Extreme + 2x EVGA 8800GTX

In Nvidia X Server Settings, I only see GPU 0 yet Ubuntu "sees" both cards according to lspci. These are the last four lines:

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation Unknown device 0191 (rev a2)
04:0b.0 FireWire (IEEE 1394): VIA Technologies, Inc. IEEE 1394 Host Controller (rev c0)
08:00.0 Mass storage controller: Silicon Image, Inc. SiI 3132 Serial ATA Raid II Controller (rev 01)
0a:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation Unknown device 0191 (rev a2)

I'm hoping that there is some way to for the Xserver to see both cards and hopefully I can SLI enabled. I did the

sudo nvidia-xconfig --sli=yes

but that didn't help any. What else do I need to do to get both cards recognized and fully functional?

Before I head off to the readme, the error I can see is that it is trying to initialize PCI:10:0:0 instead of PCI:0a:0:0 since the lspci showed two buses: 01:0:0 and 0a:0:0 and GPU 0 is on bus 01.

Okay, I added vmalloc=256MB to the end of my kernel in the menu.lst and now Nvidia X Server Settings sees both cards. Thank you very much!! Now, what do I need to do to make sure all else is as it should be? I see no mention of SLI in the X Server Settings...

EDIT: Okay, I see the SLI reference now. I just wasn't looking close enough. Sorry. Is there anything else I need to do to maximize the performance of my cards under Ubuntu? I'm really a Linux n00b and some of the things in the readme are tad confusing and don't really say how to use them...

There's really not much else that needs to be done. If SLI is working, and performance is what you're expecting, then you're all set.

It seems okay for the most part except the animations in Beryl and desktop redraws seem a bit choppy. I'm also getting windows that suddenly turn black while using them and the only way to get them back is to minimize then unminimize them.
