Default Do I have to reinstall drivers to use spdif?

Using an x-fi in Windows XP SP2, to enable spdif do I have to reinstall the creative drivers?

I thought when you installed the drivers there was a tick box to enable it but it said you could do it later?

I can't find any setting to enable it in the audio console. Or does it only give me the option when somethings actually connected to the flexijack?

I think it's in the Speaker Console rather than the Audio Console. Somewhere you have to tick, use digital out only.

Sorry I'm too usedto Vista now. I can help in Vista if anyone wants

Ok, thanks... I checked and you are right its in with the windows speaker settings, not the creative ones... you have to show advanced options, then go into advanced options and then there is a little tick box for it.

I found the option in the thx console to change the flexijack to spdif.

I still have no decoder tab in the audio console though... so how do I set spdif passthrough?

It would have been nice to have all the options together in one place!
