Ok so ive decided to have a little mess around with my memory's timings, im pretty much a noob to this and so im looking for anybody that knows what there talking about to have a look at my pic and tell me how it all looks, all the settings in the pic seem stable from my desktop, never had chance to stress test it yet, what would be best to stress test my ram at these settings to make sure its stable? ... by defauly my memory is this >> OCZ (OCZ26671024V) 1GB DDR2-667 PC2-5400 CL 5-5-5-15 ... below it a pic of my current\new timings!
Any body got any suggestions on the below settings? and what programm to use to stress test these settings? http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v3...t=100_0470.jpg

DDR2-667? why not DDR2-800? your processor is crying for faster RAM. or better yet go for something like PC2-8500

A good memory stress test are two instances (one for each core) of super_pi with the 32 million calculation.
You might also want to check out memset 3.0, a very handy software which lets you change timings within Windows.

Faster ram doesnt really do anything unless you're overclocking your FSB.
A stock 1066Mhz FSB CPU runs the ram at DDR2-533 (266Mhz DDR). Even the new 1333Mhz FSB chips will only take advantage of DDR2-667 by default. Sticking 1066Mhz ram in your system isn't going to do you any good unless you plan on doubling your FSB. And even then, increasing memory bandwidth doesn't seem to do a whole lot in most situations. The main thing you gain with faster ram is more overclocking headroom for the rest of your system.

[quote=Uberpwnage]Ram is so cheap now[quote]
Yeah your right, just checked, i could get a OCZ 2GB Kit (2x1GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 Memory Gold GX XTC CL5 DUAL CHANNEL (LIFETIME WARRANTY) for just £67.65 inc VAT ..... i think i payed more than that when i first got this ram! As CaptNKILL though, am i really going to notice any major difference? ... i just couldn't justify spending more cash and not seeing any difference!
