Default opensuse drivers not mentioned on the nvidia drivers website

hello

as mentioned here :
http://www.suse.de/~sndirsch/nvidia-...r-HOWTO.html#2
on nvidias website are driverpackages in rpm-format available which are for most users more comfortable than the nvidia-installer, because they can be installed automatically on a kernel-update.

Why aren't these mentioned on the nvidia drivers website ?

The RPMs that you've referenced are built & supported entirely by SUSE. They are hosted by NVIDIA, however there is no support for those packages from NVIDIA.

Also see:
ftp://download.nvidia.com/opensuse/README
ftp://download.nvidia.com/novell/README
