Default Framebuffer garbled with >96.39 after X has been started [PROBLEM]

Hi,
I have the following problem under my Gentoo with everything newer than nvidia-drivers-1.0.9639: framebuffer (I'm using fbsplash/vesafb-tng) works normally during boot (I can read boot messages) but as soon as gdm (so, X Server) has been started I can't use any console anymore, since the framebuffer is completely garbled, as you can see (I hope) in this image:

and also in this small video
http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=aXJgK0yV6UU

beautiful colors' effects... but unusable consoles..
I can switch back to VT7, so I logged in Gnome and I've run the bug report tool .. My video card is a 6600 Go, so it should be supported.. maybe it is an issue related to fbsplash/vesafb-tng (which I use as framebuffer) and drivers newer than 96.39..

I've attached also the output of "hwinfo --vbe"

If you need further information (which I think is almost impossible, since you grab almost everything with the bug report tool ), just ask

Thank you in advance for any help!
