Default 7950 gx2 multi head support

i want to run a 7950 gx2 in multi head mode, i.e. i want to assign an xscreen to the first as well as to the second gpu. xorg sees two different gpus but the nvidia driver (100.11.14) does not allow the second gpu to be assigned with an xscreen id. i know that the second gpu does not have a physical output, i only need to acces the gpu with a gl context and will read back the results.

any chance this kind of setup is/will be supported?

No, this is not a supported configuration on the 7950GX2. You'll need a Quadro 4500X2 card for this type of functionality.
