Hi,
I recented posted that glxgears would freeze Debian when I would try to run it; It outputs a black window that I can't close and my Debian hangs. This was when I was running a previous version of the nVidia Linux driver which I was informed is not supported anymore. I upgraded the nVidia drivers to 100.14.11 today as you can see in my nvidia-bug-report.log file. I am still experiencing this same problem with glxgears freezing Debian. Appriciate the help. Thanks, Paul J. R. |

I have a few questions:
0) Does this problem persist with a more recent kernel? 1) Have you verified that you're using the latest motherboard BIOS? 2) Was the attached bug report generated during or immediately after experiencing the problem? thanks, Lonni |

1. I'm running 2.6.18-4-486.
2. The bios is HP from 2007; It's very recent if not latest. 3. The bug report was from before the problem; I don't know how to telnet/ssh into my machine |

Ok, sorry for not being more specific off the bat.
* I upgraded my kernel to 2.6.21.3 and the problem persists. * I visited the HP website and there is no BIOS update for this version 5.02 released 11/30/06 * The nVidia bug report was created before the problem occurs; I can not input anything into Linux once the problem occurs Paul |
