Default Ctrl+Alt+Keypad-[Minus|Plus] not working

Hi!

Why are Ctrl+Alt+Keypad-[Minus|Plus] not working not working in my Setup? I don' know exactly eith which Version this thing does not work anymore, I think with 4191.

Option "MetaModes" " 1280x960@1280x1400 , 1280x960@1280x1400 ; 1280x960 , NULL ; 1024x768@1280x1400 , 1024x768@1280x1400 ; 1024x768@1280x1400 , NULL "

What else options in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 can make this thing stop working?

If you have neither a Load "extmod" line, nor a SubSection "extmod" line in your Modules section, that'll cause the XFree86-VidModeExtension to not come up. VidMode is what lets you do that, switch at runtime with the keypad.

Do you have anything hooked up on the second head? Is it turning on and off?

Oops, yes. Load "extmod" in modules Section or what? May be that is missing...
I use TwinView Yinerama Setup and the second head does nothing at the moment now when pressing Ctrl+Alt+KeyPad[+|-].

May be that is why http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/show...&threadid=9475
is happening? Will figure it out this evening... *mumblegrumble*

Well I don't see anything immediately obvious, other than the ten tons of extraneous X modules loading.

Try getting rid of record, vbe, int10, and fb.

You're also getting a "(WW) NVIDIA(0): Failed to initialize AGP" message -- which motherboard do you have?

I got rid of the suggested modules, lets see. Will try a fresh new start up and figure out the agpgart thing...

Oh, that motherboard is a MSI845PE-MAX2-FISR (dont now exactly now)

Hm, strange thing. I rebootet to clean up here and
(II) NVIDIA(0): AGP 4X successfully initialized

complete log is at
http://www.ludenkalle.de/XFree86.0.log.newer

May be this happened becuase I started more than on xserver for debugging purposes or so...

So, normally the initialize of AGP is no problem:

sexmachine agp # cat status
Status: Enabled
Driver: AGPGART
AGP Rate: 4x
Fast Writes: Enabled
SBA: Enabled
sexmachine agp # cat host-bridge
Host Bridge: Intel Corp. 82845G/GL [Brookdale-G] Chipset Host Bridge
Fast Writes: Supported
SBA: Supported
AGP Rates: 4x 2x 1x
Registers: 0x1f000217:0x00000314
sexmachine agp # cat card
Fast Writes: Supported
SBA: Supported
AGP Rates: 4x 2x 1x
Registers: 0x1f000217:0x1f000314

regards, Konsti

Default same here..

I'm getting the same problem. Strang thing is that this worked fine with the 4191 driver. My XF86Config file hasn't change, I've updated from Redhat 8 to 9 and to the latest nvidia driver.

Default "Me too."

Switching resolutions neither works for me when using TwinView. This happens both on 4191 and 4349. When using both screens without TwinView, switching resolutions works fine for individual screens.

I'm glad to give additional information on request, as I REALLY would like to get resolution switching working (watching TV is a pain with 800x600 sized full-screen mode).

Please send a detailed report (including an X log showing attempted resolution changes) to linux-bugs@nvidia.com.

Thanks!
