Default Slowdown Threshold

I'm running 100.14.11 on Linux Kernel 2.6.22.1. Looking at the NVidia X Server Settings application: Thermal Monitor - no Slowdown Threshold is shown - i.e. Slowdown Threshold is 0. I hadn't noticed this before. I've got no bars on the graphical display - in the past I've seen the pretty coloured bars which is why I noticed now. Is this a known problem? The reading for the core temperature looks about right.
