Cant reproduce the problem, tho im using gentoo and i have removed many services out of my os that cause me to drop frames, as I too use linux to attempt to run realtime graphics on the display. If crond or some other silly service pops up and take s cpu focus off your prog, your prog could suffer visualy.
hope this helps. here is my XF86 file if it helps: |

I havn't yet experienced the problem with the new driver, good job!
i.e. driver 4363 appears to have the corruption bug fixed. |

I've seen problems similar to this when RenderAccel is on (which is known to be broken after 3123). RenderAccel will also occasionally cause the X process to hardlock and eat 100% CPU.
Unfortunately this isn't mentioned in the man page, but if you check the ChangeLog after 3123 there is a small mention of the issue.Nvidia - Can we get this fixed guys? I'm almost tempted to revert to 3123 because of the boost in 2D speed... Michael |
