Smile Followed everything. Still cant work with nVidia 6629.

Here is my system configuration
Athlon XP 1800+
A7N266VM (Using the onboard GeForce 2 Mx)

On the OS side
Linux - Fedora Core 3 - Kernel 2.6.9-1.667 (unaltered)

I have followed every bit of these instructions but still cant get nVidia 6629 drivers work with my system. What happens is when I start the Xserver or boot into runlevel 5 the system freezes with a blank screen. Keyboard does not respond to any keypresses. Not even numlock can be turned ON/OFF.

If I boot into runlevel 5 the Redhat Boot screen doesnot appear and instead the system freezes as described above. That is , it passes the udev check and then on the next instant ....'blackout'.

Right now i am not having the boot log but i will post it here soon following the instructions given here. Also I noticed one thing. I got the mail upon next boot which was obviously a runlevel 3 boot.
Mail stated the error saying that
--------------------- Kernel Begin ------------------------

WARNING: Kernel Errors Present
vesafb: probe of vesafb0 failed with error -6...: 4 Time(s)

---------------------- Kernel End -------------------------

Hope to get some help soon.
Please do reply if you guys need any more information.

Oh and I forgot to add one thing. Previously I had Mandrake 9.1 and Redhat 9.0 both worked fine with nVidia 6111 drivers. But there too 6629 would hang up same as told above. MAn i getting older and older day by day. Save me oh god.
