Default Geforce FX 5200 Go - Desktop Effects Problems

I've seen bits and pieces of the answer to this all over the place, but would like to get a final word if possible.

I have a Toshiba M200 Tablet with a Geforce FX 5200 Go 32/64 graphics card. Is this card compatible with desktop effects managers like Compiz/Beryl? Or do my continuing problems with this result from the nvidia driver?

I configured it to kind of work (no black windows, window borders show) using instructions from various places, but there are still problems - windows are sometimes blank, title bar sometimes is missing close/maximize buttons, everything is generally slow. Why is this? Can it be fixed?

I'm pretty sure I have the latest driver - I used a program called Envy (http://albertomilone.com/nvidia_scripts1.html) to automate this for me -

Instructions I've used so far include:

If anybody could provide some insight, I would greatly appreciate it.

Upload a Nvidia bug report here. The sticky posts explain this.
