Default Editing GRUB

Is there a way I can edit grub? I want to:

1. Be able to configure the screen resolution.
2. Customize the text and the messages.
3. Edit the time it takes to start Kubuntu.

TIA

Default Re: Editing GRUB

1) Yes, with a vga= line, see http://www.mepis.org/node/2992
2) Yes, but it isn't really worth the hassle.
3) Look at a 'profile' boot with prelink as well.
