Is there something that nvidia-settings sets when you run this program? For some odd reason, I have to first run this program before I get get Maya to run. I have to do this with any nvidia driver I have installed (from 9639 -> 100.14).
Note: all of my /usr/lib/libGL* files are back to the originals (what the nvidia driver installed). I have not touched anything. In the xorg.file I had to DISABLE Composite for Maya to work properly (redrawing windows w/o wigging out). In /var/log nothing changes when I run nvidia-settings... so what gives? ![]() Background of my situation: After many days of troubleshooting, moving libGL files around and manually installing the nvidia drivers, I have narrowed down the source of the problem as to why Maya would not start (signal 11).
