Default tx_zero_rexmt - what is it?

Does anyone know what this statistic means;

tx_zero_rexmt: 3072728

in the forcedeth driver. I'm obviously seeing quite a few on my system.

NM - these are obviously packets transmitted without having to be "retransmitted".
