You running in Vista or XP? Vista DX10 does not work with FSAA for me but XP DX9 does.

Well, well...so that is Bioshock.
Very nicely done... Its going to be a fun and challenging game to play through..
I think I'm most happy about the way it runs DX10, full up, 1920x1200 smooth as silk. I tried 4xAA from the nV cp(163.44) but I don't think it works

I hope my 158.45 driver set will work fine. Everytime I try the 16x series there is a bug in one of my games somewhere while the 158.xx works great Im gonna have to pick up this game over the weekend. To busy to buy it untill then (not that id have time to play anyway)

The demo runs very nicely in DX10 at 1920x1080. The lighting in this game is particularly well done.

I'm not a huge fan of the over-the-top art deco look. The fact that everything is done in that style prevents me from becoming completely immersed in the game. I'm not sure why. Maybe I feel like I'm stuck in some sort of Flash Gordon derivative?

I'll still end up picking up the full game though.

Myself, I really see no point in downloading the demo when the retail on Steam (which I already have preloaded) will be unlocked tomorrow. I'm just going to hang a bit longer.

What I'm more interested right in now is are those Beta drivers really necessary to play Bioshock? Kind of interesting that Nvidia hasn't mentioned anything about it. I would think they would if it was that critical.

I currently have the latest official 162.18 (XP) drivers and would really rather not install Beta drivers if I don't have to.

What are the actual differences in playing the game between the 162.18 and the Beta?

Many are saying that it is running smoother on the Beta drivers.

I was using 158.27 XP, and, AA wasn't working. I tried all the nHancer AA compatibility modes & nothing.

Then, i upgraded to those 163.44 XP, and it seems to work now, but, not for all the render targets. I still need to force AA compatibilty mode to R6V value.

Without AA, i've 60fps @ 1280x1024, in the whole demo, but, with AA, some zones run at 40-50fps.

I dunno why the UE3 hasn't any sort of FSAA setup in the game options. Perhaps the new gfx effects are pretty, but lack of FSAA on 600$ gfx cards, it's a big step back.

Anyway, i enjoyed the demo a lot !
