I'm getting about 25FPS on my machine. This is with 16xAF and 0xAA. Graphics seem quite poor compared to other newer games such as HL2. The textures seem quite blurry, and the game is just choppy enough to take away from the enjoyability. I'll probably pass on the retail version until my next upgrade.

Then you have issues w/ your PC/setup/drivers.

What drivers are you using, and at what resolution?

Ran beautifully until and after the 'security breach/flashy red lights' room where my FPS dropped significantly. Was running at at max settings (including dx10), vsync off, and at 1440x900. For some weird reason when I tried playing it again wth Vsync on, I got massive FPS drops. My average FPS was from 65-75, while 28-36 at the lowest during that smuggler bumrush event. I'm going to try going through the demo again running at lower resolution and see if performance is gained at all.

Running the 162.50 drivers at 1920x1200. I'll try modifying the config file to turn off V-Sync and see if that improves FPS at all.

It runs great on my new system, for the whole section from after you take the shot to the end of the game. My min max and avg are 21, 207, 60.225 . Thats at 1920x1200 and my system is stock, no OC at all.

Somewhere in the beginning when you flyover the city I had noticed some fps issues and in that section I had a min, max, avg of 12, 63, 41.506. It might have been a fraps thing because I don't remember it being noticeably slow the first time through in that section.

I played through the demo 3x now, so I just bought it on steam .

Is it just me, or does V-Sync not seem to work properly? I still have tearing with it enabled. It's not quite as bad as with it disabled, but it's still present. I'm using the beta drivers and an 8800GTX with Vista.

OK, I downloaded the newer 163.44 drivers and disabled Vsynch through the config file and the game runs very smooth now even with 4xAA enabled.

Guys using the latest Beta drivers under both XP and VISTA I no longer get the FPS issue when using Vsync to where your frames are either at 30 or 60.

I can now run with Vsync on and I dont have the issue any longer under either OS.

You guys should try it. Vsync off looks like garbage with the screen tearing.

There is such a misconception about Vsync. As long as the game is not double buffering your minimum FPS will not be affected.
