Stupid question... whats the "Global lighting" toggle do? I left it off by defualt as it had "forced" in there so I assumed it dumbs some graphical setting down.

Yes, I would think so.

I am getting pretty close to the same frame-rates and I have a 1950xt and a 4400+ with 2GB, on Vista Ultimate.

You assume correctly.

I'm averaging 35-45 fps, proc @ 2.5ghz, gfx @ 600/1650. 1920x1200 16xAF through nhancer.

Enabling v-sync in game breaks it for me though, severe crashes, lockups and repeatable, even with everything back at default speeds. Still looks great without though, tearing is not apparent in this game like it is in FEAR.

Saw this thread, had to join just to be a part of it.

My specs:
Coolmaster Stacker 832 case
8800 ultra OC
680i asus mb
2 gigs

Overall I found this game to run well on most systems. I used fraps and averaged a score of 94.2 overall. Not too bad, I'll plug in my other ultra later and see how the FPS's spike. Until then, take care guys.

Oops, sorry, I was in a rush. All maxed out haha (I assumed it was a semi-given). Screen resolution 1280x1024...I could try upping it just for kicks...see what happens.
