I bet this stuff is the kernel's fault, not the module. I seem to remember someone mentioning Mandrake using a -pre kernel right before 9.1's release. Then again, it could be X's fault also, since myself and others have noticed that X takes up 99% of the processor's time before it locks. Who knows, all I know is Mandrake 9 sucks compared to 9.1 but at least the drivers work.

Well, my solution failed - got a lock up with "NvAGP" "1", but it's happening much less often now. Maybe I have two different problems, one that was fixed with the change in my XF86Config-4 file, and one that's still causing problems (such as bad RAM).

Default Check the build the NVIDIA and GLX was compiled for!

If you check the XFree86.0.log file you will see that both the NVIDIA driver and the NVIDIA GLX was compiled for XFree86 4.0.2. I do not know if this is a problem or not. Could it possibly be that the headers for XFree86 on Mandrake 9.1 4.0.2 or does the NVIDIA source state compiled for 4.0.2 in the c files?

XFree86 is binary compatible back to 4.0.1, so this message is harmless.

Maybe this défault mode 3 is somehow ignored unless it is mentioned twice...once as a default...which is ignored for some reason...and then another time in XF86 Config file when this default 3 is actually noticed by your system.

I have an inittab problem: despite I am using right values in inittab they have no effect: therefore they are ignored by system. So...maybe this default 3 in AGP is similarly ignored unless you give it twice...?
