Default checking opengl

Hi folks,

How do I know if my xorg.conf enabled opengl? What do I need to add so that opengl becomes enabled?

I'm using 6600GT in case it's needed. I'm using kernel 2.6.22 and X Window System Version 7.1.1.

Lastly, I forgot which version of nvidia driver I installed since I have 3 .run files. How do I check which I one installed?

nvidia-settings can tell you all of this info.

Driver version is in the "X Server Information" page, and if you see "Direct Rendering: Yes" in the "OpenGL/GLX Information" page, then your OpenGL is working correctly.

The generic way is glxinfo. (nvidia-settings shows similar stuff but everyone has glxinfo)
