I just started playing the retail game but I played the demo quite a bit. Does anyone else feel Airborne has a lot of console in it. It seems that all games these days have a lot of console in them. PC games used to be very different but most of them seem to be converging with console style gameplay and the way the game works. I still like the game but I'd rather the console element go away in PC games.

And the shinny buttons seem out of place to me. I'm sure all the soldiers had them in WWII

Thumbs up Re: Official Medal of Honor: Airborne Full Version Feedback Thread

I think were it more PC oriented, there'd be a lot more rigid bodies/physics objects in the levels. Even so, the game is still great.

Oh, and here's a game I just got through playing, we won.

it was good game but why is all games so US inspired i mean the brittish was a big part of the WW II in europe as other countrys why not make a game from their perspective

i know COD series had russians brittish and US troops

but it is always USA win this and that im sorry for ranting but it wasnt just the american troops who won the war it was a joint effort.

now i know Moha series conentrates very much on US part of the war but still

well sorry again if i rant on about it

the game itself was a blast and hard as hell even on easy i had a really hard time

What ever..I havnt seen to many games with as high resolution textures as Airborne, infact I thought airbornes polycount was a little low for a next gen game, but that they made up for it with texture resolutions.

You're expecting too much if you're looking for high quality textures in an EA game. Even Pacific Assault, which was a PC only title, looked the same way and it wasn't consolized obviously. It looks awesome imo.

I think the focus is on America because of the Rangers on D-day, as well as other reasons.

Several games focus on Russia, Britain, etc. but this game just focused on one.

I'm doing the mission after Nijmegen, but it's just too simple on Expert. I die occasionally due to stupidity, but I wanted a better challenge.

Great game though, but very poor textures...really a console game. Shame.

two questions

since this game uses about 100% of both cores(based on demo experience), does quad core help?

Game uses ageia physics, does the card improve anything? and what exactly?

Not sure about the PPU, however, UE3 is built for multi-cores. The biggest gain is from single to dual, however, Tim Sweeney said quad-core does help, but not a huge amount.

No, it's only the physics code used for calculations, it's not optimized in any way for Physx.

It loads all of my 4 cores, so I suppose it does benefit from Quad, how much I don't know.
