Default Need driver for mobility radeon

I have a Toshiba satellite notebook, model P30-JC1. Specs in sig.
Need a site where i can download a new driver. The driver I have now is the "standard" one that came with computer: 6.14.10.6458
IMPORTANT: There must be some qualifications on site that say its reliable with Toshiba brand laptops (Basically that its material is trustworthy). Also please explain what I am to do once i get to the site (how to run driver, if i need to delete the old one, etc)

Thanks alot guys.

Just go to AMD's driver download section:

http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html

Download either the XP/Vista Mobility driver (for whichever OS you have) and save it to a file on your comp. Go to control panel, add or remove programs (under "programs" in Vista), and it should find your current video driver. Remove it, and reboot.

After booting back up, go to the video driver file that you saved and open it. Install it.

It shouldn't really matter really. It's not the brand of your laptop that matters it's the grpahics chip itself that matters

thats what i was thinking, but apparently is DOES matter, because of some specific screen resolutions. I know for a fact, my screen resolution is "irregular". And it does say that it should be only for the laptop that is mentioned.

^ He's right.

ATI does not build specific driver sets for certain laptops. All that matters is the model of graphics chip that you have.

Then why doesnt it say supports toshiba brands?

Its really popular. Toshiba sattelites very popular notebooks. Much more popular then Alienware or voodoo or any of those high end ones.

all i need is a driver site that would show that it supports toshiba notebooks.

Well good luck. The best place to download the graphics driver is, well, from the company that actually made the graphics chip. They know exactly what resolution it supports and wouldn't give the "OK" to Toshiba to install it in a laptop that didn't support it.

click drivers, seach for your notebook.

If them drivers arnt up to date enough for you and you do indeed have a 9800 the mobility Cats on ATI's site should work fine.
