Doesn't G80 have rendering issues w/ AA enabled on DX9? So to be more accurate, I think you should say that neither card supports it.

No excuse for the poor DX10 performance w/ R600 though, I agree.

Only under DX9 when running Vista+AA. XP on the other hand works perfect with AA enabled in Bioshock, none of those stupid rendering issues at all.

I've heard other people complaining about several of those things, so what you said wasn't very true. Sorry.

I've seen several people here have a problem w/ open gl games having slowdown.

I've seen several people here with scaling issues.

Ultra quality in doom 3 and quake 3 disables all texture (including normal maps) compression. would id have put an Ultra Quality mode if only 1% of the population would use it? So I think disabling tc globally would bring the image quality up quite significantally for all games.

While I admit that the other things are quite obscure, I'm not the only with those issues, although I guess I could be the only person that cares about those.

You might very well be as i've not seen others complaining ,the slowdowns maybe but the rest is unheard of.I dont have one single issue with my GTX so for ANY normal level user i would say nvidia have fixed most issues.I know that a majority here no longer have IQ/performance/stability issues, the single card users like me that just game and enjoy their cards.

Multi gpu usage is a different thing entirely though(vista scaling issues and so on) but i would not classify the 8800 SLI users as normal level users and theyre far from a majority.

Well then I guess its just you I have doom 3 installed on my hard drive right now and the game has never looked more beautiful than it does right now on my 8800GTX, also have the expansion pack installed.

No slowdowns either, Doom 3 freakin flies on this card and I have never seen the FPS drop below my monitors refresh rate of 60hz at 1680X1050 with 16XAA enabled.

PREY is another Open GL game and it also has never looked better so dude whatever issues you are having with open GL is obviously impacting you and maybe a very few others who just dont know wtf they are doing.
