It would be nice if people that give the any game a bad word that they ACTUALLY play the game first. Too many people go off what other people think.I guess it's easier to just be a sheep and follow the masses than have a true opinion based on what you think.

I'm on the end boss now, it really is a good game. Still, for me the bugs stop it from being fantastic. If it were more clean, I would probably say it's one of my fav games.

The end boss is awesome BTW, and the music is stunning!

The game gets MUCH better as you go along, though the framerate seems to get a little worse. Wish it were longer but I can definitely say I've enjoyed all of it and I'm indeed left wanting more; which is a good thing IMO.

Well I bought it Friday and finished it Saturday. Overall I liked the game, and how it feels. It was like watching a movie that had parts where you could interact with. Unlike most games where it feels like a game that has a story and some added cinematic moments thrown in. In a way this movie like feeling works for it when it comes to the length of the game, nothing felt drawn out or just thrown in there to artificially lengthen the game, but at the same time it really made the time fly. I know I spent about 7-8 hours to finish it but it felt much shorter than that.

From what I have seen there isn't that much in the way of replay features other than Hell difficulty mode. What a game like this really needs is some replay options like found in Ninja Gaiden Sigma and GoW2. Survival, challenge, time attack modes, also a shooting gallery with Kai and the Cannons, with say an online leaderboard or something would help the game out a lot in the replay department. I know I didn't master all the combo movies listed so it would have been nice to play around with other modes rather than just replaying story mode again.

A reasonable metric to use is that your leisure time is worth 1/2 that of your work time.

So using that metric, if you make $30/hr then your leisure time is worth $15/hr. So if game X costs $60, and takes 4hrs to complete then you broke even. If the game cost $70 to buy, then it was a loss. If the game cost $50, it was a gain.

Well, I just finished this game. I must say, I liked it a lot. It's one of those games that as you're playing through it, it doesn't seem as legendary as it truly is. But then the second you beat it, you look back and think, "Damn, that game was awesome".

Sure, the majority of the reviews are correct in saying that the fighting engine isn't that great (Sigma beats it hands down). Some of the sequences are a little overdone. There's some framerate issues here and there. Puzzles are simplistic. And yeah, it's short. I can understand lowering a score because of stuff like that.

So when all is said and done, yeah, I agree - the game is probably a 7. But it's the best god damn 7 you'll ever play. You really have to experience this game just for the cinematics and production values. The graphics and sound... voice acting.... animations... are the best I've seen in a game. And I've played a lot of games in my years.

In one of the Making Of videos you can unlock, one of the producers was saying how he wants this era of gaming to be known for bringing this medium into the realm of dramatic arts. And this game seriously does just that.

Highly recommended. Maybe not a purchase, if only because it's so short (5 or 6 hours). But one way or another, any PS3 owner needs to check it out.

Nice work, Ninja Theory.

I liked it a lot also, the villians in this game are great very well done. I also liked Kai missions more because of the after touch with the arrows.

It was a good game but with the price of these games and the amount coming out i went back to gamefly. I did buy Heavenly Sword but for 65 and little replay it wasn't worth it even though it was a good game.
