Thumbs up Thank you for .19

Thanks a lot for this update.
I had the problem that the computer did hang on every logout from kde/compiz.
Everytime I had to switch back via strg+alt+F1 to avoid that.
This problem is gone.
The same was as I switched from compiz to kdm. This problem is away too.
The Icon Issue in Eclipse is also gone.

Thanks a lot.

I'll second that. This is definitely one of the best releases in quite a while.

I've grown so used to the workflow features in Compiz, like "scale" and "clone desktop", that I had trouble going back to any other window manager; but on my laptop's tiny display, where things like scale would be most useful, I ran hard into the black window bug after only two open windows (NVS 130M, with a paltry 64M VRAM).

No longer! .19's improved texture_from_pixmap seems to have banished the black windows. In the couple of hours I've had the chance to use it, being able to open many windows while retaining the benefits of Compiz has already changed how I use my laptop.

Thanks for a great release, and for your continued dedication!

I'm really impressed by the quality of these drivers. Didn't test much yet but everything really feels smoother and the performance improvements are visible. Hopefully soon i'll test them with xorg 7.3 and kernel 2.6.23 (once it's released).

A big thank you nvidia!!!!

Does anyone know if the strange EDID behaviour still exists with the new driver?

The point "Fixed a bug that resulted in the generation of incorrect EDIDs on some notebooks." tends to be right thing, but it's explicitly limited to notebooks.

Xorg 1.4 and .19 now - Compiz Fusion is now MUCH smoother (edit: on an 8800), thank you nVidia!

Now just open source your proprietary driver to 1up ATI! ^.^

Just like to say its woerking well for me too

gentoo (stable) amd64 - geforce 8500.

Games are getting slightly higher FPS with all antialiasing, etc maxed out.

I second that you follow AMD's lead and OS your drivers, I imagine that many of the fixed bugs wouldn't have existed in the 1st place.....

Downloaded, installed and tested for many hours.
100.14.19 works perfectly for me!

Another great driver!

Thank you nVidia!

It does seem that .19 has fixed the black window bug as promised. That's great!

.19 also provided a performance boost to Geforce 8 series cards. I don't have one [Geforce 8], but I can say that Geforce 7 series performance has remained the same.

In my case (GeForce 7600GS), performances are spectacular (as well as with 100.14.11)!

I wasn't downplaying performance in a negative context. I think the performance under Linux is quite good, but there could always be room for improvement.

P.S. When are the GPU specs coming?
