Default HD content

NOTE: I know that this could fall under many forums, but I chose this one.

Could a downloadable movie, provided it was the same capacity as a BD, have equal image quality if done thru software (CPU-dependent)?

If so, what would make it equal?

A carefully calculated tachyon field could in theory enable this to work but it would require elimination of subspace distortions and a field dampening array.

That could work, or we could slow to impulse and vent the plasma cores...

But if you don't disengage the warp field stabilizers at just the right time you'll cause a core breach.

I find that if you bypass the ray shields it greatly reduces your chances of a core breach, but this could cause flux in the ion splitters, which is never a good thing.
