Default Wireless in Ubuntu

I got one of those Linksys wireless G cards with Ubuntu 7 and i did the network thing and can't see the web.

I put in the name of the routher, the 10 digit wep, and use DHCP and browsing.

Isn't there another way to get this working? Plus there is a checkbox for roaming too. What is that?

Wirless works in windows fine but not Ubuntu.
