The biggest difference about Warhawk is that it has alot more going on. Halo really has no physics other then the vehicles and the players... the world from what I have seen has almost no interaction. Warhawk has HUGE levels with tons of stuff going on way about ground and on the ground. Imagine it being like a more chaotic Battlefield 2.

Actually there's a lot of physics going on in the single player campaign of H3.

Thats wonderful but we were discussing the MP mode and why Halo 3 only supports 8v8 and not higher even after running a lower version of the engine.

Hopefully I'm not repeating knowledge everyone already knows, I could have misunderstood the question. Resistance servers are dedicated, when you create a match you are still actually hosting it on Sony's Servers. Xbox live doesn't run dedicated hosts, but I'm there's exceptions for things here and there. But the point being, the games run on xbox live typically choose the best host out of the participating players thus elements are limited so the overall online experience is smoother. no?

I'm sure Bungie could have made their engine support more but it is unnecessary for this type of gameplay, halo is about close quarter combat. melee is key!

EDIT: Also, has Bungie actually come out and said that it's running a lower grade engine for MP? From my experience it seems exactly the same but the multiplayer levels are lower poly and simpler to improve performance. Frame rate drops are very annoying for competitive players.

The game looks notiably worse in MP, Why do you think everyone was instantly disappointed in the graphics when the MP Beta released. Hell I don't even think the SP looks that great and can see that it looks better then the MP portion.

My mistake, I thought MS would pony up for dedicated servers to offer a better experiance but I guess not. Sorry but that is lame... You pay to play online and yet they can't host the servers? So crappy. Halo could have been so much better with 16v16 gameplay... total chaos...

For those curious about the in game theatre mode where it records everything that's going on in game, here's some screenshots that were posted from a guy over at Rage3d. In theatre mode you can take screenshots and upload them to bungie. sweet feature

In Game

Sucks that you can't record the SP Mode, only Screenshots are allowed. Thats a feature I would like to see in more console games.

waaaaah waaaaaah, turn that frown upside down by purchasing halo 3 and playing alongside us. You'll be overwhelmed by the gameplay experience, rather than the graphics.
