I don't know if anyone noticed this but in Games Explorer on Vista the game recommends a 6.0 WEI. I thought 5.9 was the max?

Will somebody please tell me the correct sequence for the first QTE in this game?

I want to finish this demo, but I can't. I don't know if my keyboard is bugged or what. Hitting the corresponding directional keys early or late, doesn't seem to work.

Edit:

I tried the game again with my Xbox360 controller and found out that when I was playing it with my keyboard, it wasn't showing the ****ing keys at all! All it showed with Keyboard and Mouse were a bunch of ****ing arrows! No keys. But when I used my Xbox360 controller, it actually showed me buttons to press. I just assumed that the arrows meant I had to use my movement keys to activate the sequence in the right order.

Btw, the game is another example of a consolized game. It controls so much better with an Xbox360 controller. How disappointing that they have to botch up the regular controls. On the plus side, the game looks great and runs great. It has great atmosphere and the enemies don't seem to be weak and with your limited ability to move it makes it a bit tense. It's a refreshing change from the run-and-gun genre.

I'm definitely getting this game for the PC, it won't look or run as well on a console so why bother. I also prefer CRT image quality to LCD quality at the moment with these darker games.

I played Lost Planet with my 360 controller and I will see how the demo is with it also. This demo is on Fileplanet now also - sorry if that was posted in the thread already.

i'll get it for pc.

This was one of my main problems with the game. Going in the hole wasn't so bad, but ripping a feature in Resident Evil that really doesn't work here, was a horrible idea I think. Press Left, Left, up, down..up...what is this...Dragon's Lair? Come on Jericho, get outta the 80's man!!

I don't know, I loved Undying and was kinda wishing this had a more slow paced theme...maybe the next game huh Clive?

Well finally got a play through on my lunch break. It took some getting use to the controls but afterwards it was pretty easy swapping between squad members and using their abilities. That sequence down the hole reminded me of God of War. I actually enjoyed it, made the experience more cinematic. Graphics were very good. Didn't really stop and analyze the aliasing because there was so much blood and bullets being spilt lol. I like how they used the concept of Ross dying and now being this disembodied healer/possessor, very good way of molding it into the story.

Needless to say this jumped up a few spots on my wishlist. I'll be keeping an eye on it when it gets closer to release.

Contra was great game.

I've played through this about 10 times now and it's growing on me. It is allot of fun to play, especially hacking with the chick with the sword. The lighting is really pretty amazing. I just can't see why we don't have walk, run or jump buttons. The path you take is made so limited you can't even have a jump button. I may buy this when it comes out but it will be with reluctancy.

Dunno if this has been mentioned ...

If you have an SLi system you can almost double your frame rate by setting the SLi Performance mode to Force alternate frame rendering 2 in the nVidia control Settings.
Seems a much better engine than the UT3 engine to me ... Horz+ widescreen ... FSAA ... all the eye candy and great fps ...
(but I hope I'm wrong ... )

Oh yeah, forcing AFR2 does do the trick. I average about 40 FPS with 16xAF/8xAA and all options set to high. I will wait for reviews on the game as the next few months will have a lot of good games coming out. The action is nice and playing on a PC will be easier once I figure out the best keyboard configuration. Playing with the controller does allow for you to control the movement speed of your characters with the analog sticks so I may go that route since the game was obviously built for a console.
