Another question, for the island map, or i am not sure if its island, you start on the beach, and have to work your way up into their base (from strogg side) and distroy core thing with flying drones. My side was completely dominated, we were outnumbered and much less experienced. I tried to switch classes around but nothing worked. I would kill maybe 5-8 enemies every round, but would loose so much health that i would fail at comlpleting objectives. For the whole time, we did not get farther then the first objective. Any clues on how not to get bogged down on the beach?
1. Sounds good

2. There are 3 ways into the base:

a. the front beachhead (aggressor must demo door)
b. the breach in the wall (aggressor must demo crack in wall)
c. the east bunker (aggressor must demo damaged section of bunker)

If your team sucks, the beach is very difficult be victorious on.

yea ok. Yea i know the entrances, i was just wondering if there was one class that for example can have a huge impact. But they just kind of pinned everybody down, and even deployed some turrents ooutside base, which made things even funner

Field ops to artillery the turrets + aggressors to detonate entrances + medics to heal aggressors.

Sounds like you played against a decent group.

And WTF with yesterday? First time I've ever seen you on QW, you say hi and then you're out without 1 game!!!

don't forget that Strogg Infiltrator also has a teleporter which you can throw over the base wall and teleport inside.. you can even throw it through a window of the building and teleport in to it (above the capturable gdf spawn point)..

additionally you can run around on the left hand side of the mountain to the left (as youre looking towards gdf base) and enter the base that way - sometimes GDF even forget to defend that..

its also possible to trick-jump over the base wall in a couple of places...

Forgot all about the mountain entrance... that's the clearest path! And the teleporter trick is always good.

ahh sorry, i was still playing. i do not get the hang on the chat thing, its not as easy to use as the steam one. I believe i was still online though, playing.
Yea, we were outnumbered too on that pathetic match. I play on thie XP saver server with a NV NEWS tag I can get IP to you later.

changes are noticable right away, intro menu doesnt show "game is up to date" anymore
havent played yet with update...

I've still been having a blast with this game. Can't wait to try out the 1.4 patch tomorrow night. At first I wasn't sure I liked the game but there are so many different fun ways to play that I'm totally hooked. I have World in Conflict, Crysis and Call of Duty 4 still unopened (Xmas presents) due to being absorbed in this one. I broke away for a few days to play Uncharted on the PS3 (AWESOME game) but I'm back to QW now and still totally hooked!

the new patch has added lots of more noob-friendly features, including tutorial voice over / training - if you havent tried it yet, its even easier than ever to get started!
