Thanks

the UI is the same, save for a few features added. 'Create a Recovery disc' is a new option, and there's one more thing, ill go find it and report back. my wei score went from 3.0 to 3.1, so that could be the result of a driver change; such a small number change could just be a fluke.

everything overall seems alot more stable, and readyboost always works.

IE, on many pages, almost randomly will just stop functioning. you know, the generic "this program has encountered an error and needs to restart". it happens alot. thats extremely annoying, and i know its sp1 becsause all of my machines do it, and didnt do it before i installed sp1

What version are you running?

Everything sounds good so far, ecspecially the recovery disk option. I'll have to check it out for myself though...

If IE can get figured out, then it's looking even better.

i still dont understand why people have so many issues with vista? for me its trouble free. its a smarter XP + dx10 support. maybe its because i have an ATI card since i guess nvidia still has major problems with their drivers...at least from what i see from everyone posting here.

Well Nvidia is getting their acts together, cause with every driver we see improvements, they are already much better than in teh beginning, pretty normal I think

QFT. At first I had quite a few issues with it but now I am fine, and barely have anything go wrong. Vista is great if it's just a work machine, IE, Microsoft Office 2k7, Etc. Thats all I use mine for.

Just use the 64-bit MSDN disc with your key, and it will install whatever edition your key works for (premium, ult, etc) off of that disc. You can find it on p2p networks. So long as the sha1 hash of the image matches, it hasn't been tampered with by anybody. The sha1 hash of the 64-bit msdn disc is b71e04564ca22e4d9928e59298eff87cf62b382b, in fact this information is posted on microsofts own website.
