Default Xinerama, xorg 7.3 and mouse trapped

[PROBLEM SOLVED]

Hello

This discussion started in another thread (http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=99016) but I think it is more appropriate to start a new one :
I'm using xinerama and when I upgraded to xorg 7.3 and nvidia driver 100.14.19, suddenly if I dragged my mouse to the right screen I wouldn't be able to drag it on the left again.
I have been given to tips :
1) use evdev ; I tried :

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Configured Mouse"
Driver "evdev"
Option "CorePointer"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/event2"
Option "Protocol" "ImPS/2"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection

but it did not solve the problem

2) install xf86-input-mouse from git :

$ git-clone git://anongit.freedesktop.org/git/xorg/driver/xf86-input-mouse
$ cd xf86-input-mouse
$ ./autogen.sh
$ make
$ make install

no success either.

in both case, the mouse still works but the same problem arises.

I googled and found other people having the same problem, but solution... any idea ?

for information :
GPU : 8600GT from ASUS (yeah, I upgraded since last post, this is a complicated story...)

sylvain@wonderland ~ $ uname -a
Linux wonderland 2.6.22-gentoo-r6 #3 SMP Fri Sep 14 14:48:41 CEST 2007 x86_64 AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux

The monitors are :
Acer AL2023 dvi 1600*1200
Acer AL1713 vga 1280*1024

any help is welcomed...
thanks,

Default Re: Xinerama, xorg 7.3 and mouse trapped

OK, I'm filling really stupid, because the solution to this has just been given in the other thread : the solution is to run :

./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr

thanks to all and sorry the useless new thread,
