Signatures too long

What's up with that? I see sigs that are longer than 3 posts. Kinda annoying, IMO.

I don't know why there is blank space at the bottom but the period is to set my sig from the bottom line. It is just one extra line though.

Mines not that long, but the extra gap for some reason makes it look large...

I've created a coupla threads on this.

Sort of gave up coz while some people can take forever creating their 2 page travesties, they apparently don't have the aptitude to condense the same to a lesser size.

It's as annoying as retards posting full-size pictures even though there are image-hosting sites that can thumbnails it, or they can be thumbnailed on this site.

I have seen nice signature rule on the other forum. They state that your signature can be of maximum height 60px, not more. That way, people can use large 60px fonts if they wish, but only on a single line, or 6 lines x 10px fonts, etc.. Up to them, but that forum is very readable.

When I were just a noob here I oneday had a sig that was guite long. One of the more senior members just matter-of-factly told me that my sig was too long. I sprung to attention, whipped a snappy salute and changed it as fast as a could.

Don't try it now however. I might just raise you a finger. Unless you're MikeC of course, in which case I'll humbly oblige.
